TIP-ical Tuesday: Social Distancing

With the number of COVID-19 cases growing, state and local governments are recommending the practice of social distancing.
Companies are using branding and campaigns to promote awareness and safety.
Chiquita banana posted a version of the logo to it’s Instagram without Miss Chiquita. The caption “I am already home. Please do the same and protect yourself. #staysafe” was used.
Coca-Cola promoted social distancing in Time Square by separating its logo saying “Staying apart is the best way to stay united.
McDonald’s Brazil separated the famous Golden Arches with the tagline “Separated for a moment so that we are always together.”
Fireball launched the World’s Biggest Tip Jar to help raise money for bartenders and service industry workers while they are out of work.
Several breweries and distilleries are producing mass quantities of hand sanitizer. Many companies are using the recipe set out by the World Health Organization. Local Tallahassee breweries have followed suit including Proof Brewing Company and Ology Brewing Company.
Mucinex launched the “Spread facts, not fear” campaign to stop misinformation from spreading.
Compass will begin working remotely starting 4/1 to follow social distancing guidelines.
By using their platforms and resources, companies are taking a stand to help stop the spread.
